Leawood History resources

Leawood was founded in 1922 and named after principal landowner Oscar G. Lee.  He owned land from 79th to 103rd and from State Line to Belinder Road. The Oxford Schoolhouse had been instructing area children in the area since 1877 and still operates as a center of historical inquiry.
