I believe the picture labeled “Stonegate Pool” is actually City of Mission municipal pool.

I believe the pool at the Soc Hop was orginally a part of a “country club” that included the riding stables across old Kansas City Road and a clubhouse tucked into the trees on the southeast side of the pool – just northwest of the interstate . I can’t remember the name of the club but I know the stables became Peterson Stables because Richie Peterson was my first boyfriend. :)
I learned to swim at Red Cross lessons at that old Olathe pool. As I remember, I flunked beginners a couple of times because I refused to jump off the diving board.
